Test your webcam requires at least version of Flash.

Applications that are running in Adobe Flash Player may want to have access to the webcam and/or microphone available on your computer to start the test.

Select Allow, the application can capture what your camera sees and your microphone hears, until you close the application.



Having difficulties with the test?

1. If you have an external webcam, make sure it’s plugged in.
2. Make sure your webcam isn’t being used by another program or website. You can do this by shutting down all other programs and websites besides testyourwebcam.com.
3. If you are still experiencing trouble, you may have a problem with your webcam drivers. If you are using Windows, first check that your webcam is listed in Device Manager.

Webcam Troubleshooting

Error message you got when you tried to install it. Did it come with an installation disk? Is it PlugNPlay? Use an USB port? Do you see it in Device Manager (imaging devices)? Is it marked yellow or red? Is it listed in the Control Panel (cameras and scanners)? Check the manufacturer’s web site for driver updates if necessary.

My webcam won’t install properly

Trouble installing your webcam in Windows, try the following steps:

1. Unplug the webcam
2. Uninstall the software
3. Reboot your computer
4. Make sure you have the latest software. Also make sure your windows is update.
5. Install your software. Plug in your webcam only when prompted to by the software.
